PlastiSpan® EFS insulation


PlastiSpan® Insulation is used in Cathedral Ceiling, Continuous Insulation, Exterior Foundation, Interior Basement Walls, Basement Floor, Under Slab, Hydronic, EIFS and handi-pac Packaging & Display.


The material properties of PlastiSpan® EFS insulation1 used as a
component in exterior insulation and finish systems meet or exceed the
requirements for expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation as specified in
ASTM C578, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene
Thermal Insulation

1PlastiSpan insulation is evaluated by the ICC-ES Evaluation Service under ESR-1587.
2Material properties meet or exceed requirements for ASTM C578, Type I and are third party certified under a quality listing program administered by Intertek Testing Services.
3Values are minimum per 1-inch (25.4-mm) of thickness at mean temperatures of 75 °F (24 °C) and 40 °F (4.4 °C).
4Values are maximum for 1-inch (25.4-mm) thick samples with natural skins intact.  Lower values will result for thicker materials.
5ASTM C578 maximum water absorption is determined using ASTM Test Method C272.


The dimensions, dimensional tolerances and block aging for PlastiSpan® EFS insulation meet requirements
specified in ASTM E2430, Standard Specification For Expanded Polystyrene (“EPS”) Thermal Insulation Boards
For Use In Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (“EIFS”)
as detailed in Tables 2 and 3 below.
